Woopsy Daisy

Soooooo its been a VERY long time since I've posted anything but i have been super duper busy. I know I promised a fashion post just over a month ago (eek) but i am planning on doing that tomorrow or extremely soon as i am now FINALLY on my summer holiday! Today I had an afternoon/evening to spare so I thought I would give you a little update on the past few months. I just finished my end of year exams and have received a pleasing set of results (well most of them). I've been doing a couple of exciting things over the first part of this year and there are hopefully only more to come. The least recent event had to be the One Direction concert I went to in March in the Manchester Arena. I went with my three closest friends and had an amazing time and I would jut like to thank Lydia for getting me he tickets as If it weren't for her I wouldn't have been able to get tickets  so THANK YOU!!

In the Easter holidays (which were a while back) I went to Germany on a school trip. I ad the most amazing time even though my closest friends weren't able to go, I got to get to know some other people better and make some new friends. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show you of the time I spent in Germany but I'm telling you now the ice cream is the best!

Probably the most recent event I went to was Chester Rocks which is like a mini festival. me and my friends went on the Saturday and saw The wanted, Union J, The Vamps, A*M*E and Ollie Marland. If you live anywhere near Chester  highly suggest investing in some tickets next year. I also don't ave many photos from Chester Rocks of the actual artists that performed but ah well.

.

My Mum recently surprised with an early birthday present! Two beautiful white kittens, I'm gonna let the pictures do the talking.

I hope you enjoyed this little update my next post is going to be a fashion post and maybe after that a post on the wreck this journal. See ya later chummies,

Kat

May Favourites

What this? May is over, where does the time go eh? For this post I thought I'd give you a little insight into what make-up products I have been loving for the month of May. So here we go.

So the first product I reckon you have either heard, seen or known about and most of you probably own it. The Urban Decay Naked palette will always be a favourite of anybody who owns it. It contains both matte and colours with shimmer and every single one of the colours is pigmented. I use this palette every time I wear a natural nude looking eye make-up look, but don't get me wrong this palette can give you dramatic eye make-up too but the colours are very nude, there aren't many bright colours in it.
The other palette/kit in my favourites this month is the sleek eyebrow kit in light. I only started filling in my eyebrows about six moths ago, I first started filling them in with my naked palette but then about a week ago I ordered this bad boy after lusting after it for ages and I have loved it from the moment I first used it. It contains a wax that shaped your eyebrow and a powder that you put on after the wax to set it, it also comes with an angled brush for the wax, a brush for the powder and some tweezers which I have to admit are to small to be any good so I stick to using my normal tweezers.
The nail polish you see is Essie's Mint Candy Apple. This particular shade is one of Essie's best sellers and I am not surprised the colour is the perfect mint green. I you want to know a bit more about the Essie nail polishes go check my previous post on Essie's Bikini So Teeny.
Tucke in right at the back of the photo are two of the best products I have ever used. They are both part of the Rimmel Wake me Up range. The foundation is my favourite ever in the whole wide world. I has a medium coverage and a slight shimmer going through it but its a nice shimmer that I think would suit every skin tone as I have pale skin and have never really like a sparkle or shimmer on my face as it made me look a bit like a vampire. The concealer is great too it covers everything up that needs to be covered up and it does what a concealer is supposed to do. It reminds me of the Collection concealer which is cheaper and is pretty much the same but for me I have very sensitive sore broken skinn around my nose and when I put that concealer there I found that it stung whereas the Rimmel one is a lot more sensitive
The last thing that has snuck into my favourites is my sunglasses. We NEVER have a sunny summer over here in England the weather is so temperamental so when the ocassional sunny day that sneaks up on us we have to make the most of and in may we had a weekend of sun YAY!
So that all of my favourites from the month of May sorry the post was a bit long but my next post will be coming soon and will hopefully be a lot shorter but for now ADIOS AMIGOS!

March Glossybox

I thought for my latest post I might change it up a bit and show you what I got in my March Glossybox. For part of my Christmas present my Dad bought me a 12 month subscription to Glossybox. I'm a bit of a YouTube addict i always used to watch people reviewing and showing us whats in their Glossybox and I always wanted to have my own. From watching these kind of videos you learn not only are there so may boxes to choose from but also the products depend in what region you live for example the products in the American Glossybox won't be the same as the products in the English box. Also you need to take into consideration whether this subscription is right for you. You can get different lengths on subscription so I recommend you start off with a shorter subscription unless you are a hundred per cent sure want it.You can also suspend your subscription at anytime. Out of all the possible beauty boxes you can get I think it best to go with Glossybox.
The first product in my Glossybox was this Juicy Couture perfume sample 'Couture La La'. Some people don't like to receive perfume samples in their Glossybox but personally I don't mind. The full size of this product is £63 for 100ml.
The next product I got was this TRESemme hairspray. I'm not overly excited about this product because I don't use hairspray an awful lot but its a nice travel size. Full size is £4.69 for 500ml
I'm quite interested in trying this product as Elizabeth Arden is a well-know brand. I put a little product on the back of my hand and its quite thick and a funny colour, so we shall how it goes. Also Elizabeth Arden is quite an expensive brand so I'm a bit scared about really liking this product. Full size is £25 for 50ml.

I seem to remember that I did not like the last nails inc. nail polish I used but I shall give this one a try, its in the shade St James. Full size is £11 for 10 ml.
The last product in my Glossybox is this lip stain by Jelly Pong Pong. I have already tried this and I really like  it and its a full size product. full size £12 for 2.5g.
In this Glossybox it came with this cute little book which has all these listing of different places to eat and to stay in all these different countries which I think is a really cute idea. It also got these really cute stickers.

Essie Nail Polish- Bikini So Teeny

I recently purchased a pack of four nail polishes' by Essie. I have never tried an Essie nail polish before as I had always found them quite expensive compared to other drugstore nail polishes like Barry M but when I saw this pack of four in TKMax for five pounds they went straight into my basket. I would just quickly like to apologise for the state of my hand, you may notice and couple of holes in my fingers because I recently burnt my hands during a chemistry practical so now my hands are looking a mess but I really wanted to do a review on this nail polish.

This particular shade is in Bikini so teeny which is a gorgeous lilacy blue. This colour is probably more of a spring colour but I was determined to try it out. The actual polish dries surprisingly fast and goes on like a dream. The colour came through very nice even on the first coat so you only really need two coats. I give this nail polish two thumbs up and will definitely be purchasing more Essie nail polishes!

Maybelline Rocket Volum' Mascara

I first hear about this mascara through YouTube watching Bethany Mota or Macbarbie07 and she raved about this mascara. So, because she is one of my favourite youtubers, I immediately ran out to boots to get it. A lot of other people have also sworn by this new mascara so I was sure I was going to fall in love with it.

When I first used this product I was a little disappointed but once I got used to the way it worked I loved it and got compliments when wearing it. It adds tons of length and volume to the lashes and is also nice and black as some mascaras I have use previously have been slightly grey in colour. This mascara in boots, at the moment, is an amazing £5.99 reduced from £7.99. Both prices are extremely affordable for the product and personally I think that drugstore mascaras are just as good as the higher end ones.

The one criticism I have of this product is a bit petty really but on the packaging it says volum' rather that volume which annoys me as would it be much more effort to fit an E on the end? Overall I really liked this mascara.
